espn radio? what channel is espn radio on? i wanna start listening to mike and mike... i live in new york..can anyone help?

steelerxiv79 replied: "If you live in New York ESPN RADIO IS 1050 AM Mike and Mike comes on 6:00AM and ends at 10:00AM. I used to live in NJ and listened to 1050. Only problem is the single for this station is much weaker (or at least that was the case when I listened to this station) then 660 WFAN or those blowhars on 770 WABC what a shame. They also simulcast MIKE&MIKE on ESPN2 or you can download the show either streamlining or as podcast commercial free for a fee ESPN INSIDER. Here is the schedule for 1050 ESPN RADIO."

What is playing between segments on ESPN radio? On ESPN Radio's National feed (straight from Bristol), music plays during commercial breaks (when the local affiliates air their commercials.) What band is it? How can i find this out?

JaneyDelaney replied: "You can try contacting them jd"

What version of "Stairway To Heaven" is played on ESPN streaming radio during the commercials? If you listen to ESPN Radio on the internet, instead of commercials, they'll play songs. One of them is an acoustic version of Stairway To Heaven. I'd like to know who performs it.

Michael F replied: "I just found this on Amazon: Rodrigo y Gabriela. You only get a :30 snippet but I'm pretty sure thats the version you're looking for."

How can I get ESPN radio to come back to Kansas City? One day I was listening to ESPN radio here in Kansas. The next day? It was gone. Can anything be done?

rydaldude replied: "Get sirius satellite radio. ESPN radio is one of their sport channels plus ESPN News as well as the NFL, NBA and NASCAR - all have dedicated channels."

Dave replied: "I live in Overland park, espn radio is on FM at 97.3. just matters how far the reception goes"

What happened to Dan Patrick on ESPN radio? A couple weeks ago, Dan Patrick announced he was leaving ESPN radio to pursue other interests. However, he said he would leave in mid-August after continuing his show for another month. Very shortly thereafter, he disappeared from his time slot, and I haven't heard the issue addressed since. Any ideas what happened?

Ryan C replied: "He retired from ESPN all together."

Who is going to replace Dan Patrcik on ESPN Radio? Does anyone know who is going to replace Dan Patrick on ESPN Radio? I know his last day is Friday August 17, who is going to take over his time slot?

artyshellz replied: "I was honestly hoping for Stephen A Smith, but he is refusing to leave New York. I like Eric Kusselius and Van Pelt. It doesn't look like they will have someone permanent by Monday the 20th, but I just hope that the person they choose covers all sports equally. As far as the big four shows, I can't stand Mike and Mike, I love Colin Cowherd, but he sees everything from a football perspective, I don't think they should go with another football guy. I wouldn't mind them moving Seibel into Dan's slot, I really like Seibel and he is well rounded when it comes to sports, but if thats the case, they would have to fill the sportsbash slot."

Has ESPN Radio officially changed its name to the Brett Favruh Network? Jesus H Christ, driving to work this morning, it's Howard Stern's day off so I swallow hard and turn it over to ESPN Radio and the Mike and Mike Tool Show. Golic's off, but Greenberg is all things Favre. "How's the coffee, Mike?" "Pretty good, I think Brett Favruh would like it." "Take a good dump this morning Greenie?" "Yep, and I bet Brett Favruh did too." Nauseating.

The Real Ashley R replied: "well, if so then they had to change it from the official Patriots Network that it was a few months ago. ESPN are the ultimate bandwagon jumpers."

A Texas Packer Fan replied: "yep bandwagoners for sure."

Drew Blood replied: "Dude, relax. You have arguably one of the greatest quarterbacks to EVER play the game who just retired after a 17 season career. Personally I think it's refreshing to hear about somebody else BESIDES Tom Brady and Payton Manning for 1 week out of the year."

suspendedagain300 replied: "These questions are getting nauseating. It's the first week of March, possibly the deadest point of the year on the sports calendar. When one of the top 10, maybe top 5, QBs of all-time retires, you're going to hear about it. If you don't like it, switch you Sirius station over to Elevator Muzak, maybe that will calm your over-excited ass down."

barbell405 replied: "Im a huge Bret Favre fan but I agree! ESPN has made WAY too much out of Bret's retirement. Yeah for a day I can see them talking about it but even I'm saying ENOUGH!! He deserved the recognition but I dont even think Montana, Marino, Moon, or even Aikman got this much attention when they called it quits."

Carnac replied: "He just retired officially yesterday, so they are not allowed to talk about him for another day or 2. He is one of the best qbs that every played. You are missing the point. I guess you want it to go back to 2 weeks talking about some idiot getting arrested or leaving the scene of an accident like Briggs and having no consequences after filing a false report that it was stolen. How about weeks on Roger Clemens comings and goings or Barry Bonds which has been going on for years. Let's focus for once on something that is good."

mr_cj_jr replied: "No it shouldn't but give the man his due! Favre is deserving of any press that he receives. However, if they're still talking about it in September, then complain about it. I bet you didn't complain when the Patriots crap dominated the airwaves!"

Believe in Rico replied: "ESPN has to cover whatever the heck it is that everyone wants to hear about. How can they be bandwagoners when its suppose to be an unbiased sports network?"

shiloh replied: "It 's still not as bad as the constant, non-stop coverage of Joe Torre leaving the Yankees. My God, you'd have thought the President had died. I'm just glad Favre didn't play in New York or Boston. If he had, we'd be listening to it for a month solid."

Can anybody explain to me how Doug Gottlieb got his own radio show on ESPN? I can't bear to listen to ESPN radio on my ride home from work because of him...it's a shame.

No Picture replied: "I agree. Brian Kenny sucks too! I like the local markets for sports talk radio. Much better."

Songs durring commercial breaks on ESPN Radio? There's a song that has a lyric "we kiss with our eyes closed" during commerical breaks on ESPN radio, specifically during "The Herd." I have searched through google, but cannot find the song. Any ideas? I've looked through some lyrics from the band, The Lift, and still cannot find it.

david mack replied: "Its called Lights Out by The Lift. Off the album Our Nothing is Alive."

Will ESPN Radio do a second consecutive day of 24/7 Brett Favruh retirement coverage today? Jesus H Christ, tried listening to ESPN Radio on the drive home yesterday, after 15 minutes of wall to wall Mrs. Madden coverage I couldn't take it anymore. The old fart retired, what's the big deal? Joey B... please don't mention hacks until you mention the all time hacks.... Greenberg and Golic. I want to gouge out my eyeballs when I accidentally hear those two empty suits.

dkstringer24 replied: "He broke just about every quarterback record there is. If rex grossman retired tomorrow and they covered for more the 15 seconds....that would be stupid."

suspendedagain300 replied: "The big deal is he is one of top 10, maybe top 5, QBs of all-time and there real isn't anything else to talk about. If this was 2 weeks later, the coverage would have been mixed in with March Madness but right now is a bit of a down time in the sporting world so when a QB of Favre's caliber retires, that's pretty much all there is to talk about."

Pidgeon Man replied: "I hope not im tired of hearing about it."

crackbubba replied: "I hope not. I'm sick of it already. I repect Favre and what he did, but get over it already."

Richard C replied: "Typical ESPN and I wager a made-for-TV movie will be in the works....I am more "worried" about Frank Calliendo; the unfunny comic may actually have to upgrade his bits, since the John Madden/Favre era is done."

scott2ann replied: "i hope the hell not 1st patriotgate then the senate now this i going back to easy listening music"

Joey B replied: "More and more talking heads blabing on about 'where is his place in history' and that jerkoff Erik Kuselias going on and on about what place he is on the great chart of QB's. Eric 'Lets rank em, lets rank every QB of all time and see where he stands. You have him at 3, cause I see him as a 4. Where does he stand in the all-time ranking of right handed white QB's born on a tuesday. I see him as the 2nd best, you have him 3rd cause I see him more as a number 2. Now where does he stand all time on the list of athletes with the initials of B.F. or or atheltes who wore the number 4 or or or some other ridlicious list we can rank people on so I won't have to come up with something interesting to say on NATIONAL RADIO for the next half hour so ill just throw names out there and yak on about how Vinny Testaverde should be ranked higher than Trent Dilfer but behind Doug Williams on the top 10000000000 players of all-time.' This guy is such a cliched HACK. But then again, who isn't anymore at ESPN. All we get are talking heads ranking retired athletes on some mythical chart of the God's, as if Joe Montana and Brett Favre will battle for #1 overall in some fantasy world for ultimate highlight of the known universe or some other crap like that. Greeny's a h0m0, but Golic is funny."

Karl M replied: "yeah it's old like Favre"

shiloh replied: "Just be thankful he didn't play in New York or Boston. You'd be hearing it for the next week solid. Remember whan Joe Torre retired? It was beyond unbelievable."
